Hilton Garden Inn Bucharest Old Town

The rooms are comfortable and quiet, with a modern shower and toilet room. When you walk in, the quality of the hotel is obvious. The reception is welcoming, with sports TV and a bar, and the Old Town location is very convenient. Breakfast had great food and variety, but the space is too small. Once it gets busy, it feels hectic and annoying, with people pushing in or ignoring whatever order there is. I ran into some very rude people, and didn't find breakfast relaxing at all. More room and a clear direction for moving through the area would help. There's also no Netflix and not much channel choice. When you're outside waiting for a taxi or having a smoke, people hassling guests for food, money, or cigarettes gets annoying. Fixing those issues would make this a five-star pleasure to stay at.

The staff were attentive, bringing plenty of water refills, towels, and robes whenever we needed them. Breakfast was tasty, and one morning when we had an early start, they kindly packed one for us before breakfast service opened. The rooms were spacious and exceptionally clean. It's a fantastic hotel in the heart of the Old Town, close to transport hubs and a five-minute walk from the meeting point for several excursions, including the Peles Castle and Therme Spa trip pickups and walking tours. I'd recommend it completely and stay again. Fantastic hotel.

The food in the restaurant was good, breakfast was good too, and the employees were friendly and helpful. The hotel is well placed, close to everything, and I was given a voucher for two free drinks the night before I left. My only complaint is how much you can hear from the hallways and outside through the windows. This Hilton hotel also doesn't offer the 5 pm Horderves and drinks.

The location is excellent, but that's the only real positive for me. I stayed three days and contacted room service around seven times without getting an answer. When someone finally responded, they still got my request wrong. As a Hilton member, I expected a much better level of service. The mattress was very hard and uncomfortable. The bathroom is so small you can't close the door while sitting on the toilet. For the price, the value is poor, since similar rates can get you a much higher standard elsewhere. There's no parking, and the food is average, nothing memorable.
