Hostel Foisor

The location was okay, which was the only good thing I found. Cockroaches were in the rooms, and though the third floor has been renovated, the rooms are extremely small and everything looks very cheap. Bathrooms were old and quite dirty. When we left the room, staff went in to turn off the air conditioners, something I'd never seen elsewhere. Nobody at the hotel speaks English. There wasn't a mirror in our room, which was strange and uncomfortable, and when we asked for one, they said they wouldn't provide it. This doesn't feel like a hotel, let alone a three-star one. Save yourself the trouble and stay somewhere else, even the low price isn't worth it.

The rooms were spacious and tidy, and breakfast was really good. The street is somewhat busy, though, so outside noise came through at night and in the morning, especially the tram. It's a family hotel, so they don't provide complimentary shampoo or shower gel. Bring your own if you plan to shower. The owners speak a little English, and their son speaks quite well. They call on him to help if an issue comes up.

This small family hotel was extremely accommodating. We arrived at 10 AM, well before the 2 PM check-in, but had a room within 30 minutes. We also needed to stay past checkout because of our son's sleep schedule, and that was no problem. I absolutely recommend it.

They cancelled my booking the day before I was due to arrive, saying I hadn’t paid. But payment was to be made in cash at the property, in Romanian currency, and the reservation had free cancellation. When I called, they said they wouldn’t speak to anyone in English. They were very rude on the phone too.
