The room was big and the metro is nearby, though the parking area is small. I got there around one in the afternoon after a six-hour drive, with winter weather outside. A woman who came out of an office beside reception told me to return at two because that was check-in time, without giving another reason. I ended up sitting in the car for an hour. The hotel owner, though, was a nice guy and great to chat with.

I was told the room with one single bed would cost 187 lei. I put 200 lei on the table, then for a moment I didn't see what the receptionist did with one of the 100 lei notes. She asked me for another 100 lei. I knew what I had because I was carrying a fixed amount of money. I don't recommend this place.

The staff, from the waiters to the concierge, were kind and willing to help, and made guests feel welcome. The hotel in Bucharest was clean, warm, nice and comfortable. I'd recommend it.

A clean hotel with nicely average-sized rooms, and the food and coffee tasted good. The bathroom smelled way too much of tobacco smoke, though.
