Les Jardins Carol

The price was great, and the hotel met our expectations. It'd be a good choice if you want something a little extra without spending too much on accommodation. The room matched the photos and was just right for two people, with decent beds. I couldn't find the Wi-Fi password anywhere, but a nice lady at the downstairs "reception" gave it to me. The bathroom was much better than I expected. Breakfast was included and OK, nothing special, but nowhere near the worst I've had.

Really close to the center of Bucharest, with clean rooms and a delicious breakfast. A very cozy hotel and great value for money!

Carol park opposite the hotel is lovely for a walk in the morning or evening, and the old town is only a 20-minute walk away. We had very good food at the restaurant attached to the hotel, and service was fast. It's a fantastic small boutique hotel, with nicely decorated rooms and staff who were always pleasant and attentive when needed. Other people have mentioned tram noise, but it didn't bother us. We barely noticed it after the first night. We'd definitely stay again.

Breakfast was great, with good food and a really nice atmosphere. They also have a nice restaurant. As a boutique rather than a proper hotel, it doesn't have the same hotel feel. We didn't like our room: it was very small, in the attic, with a window right above our heads, which we didn't enjoy. It was 40 degrees outside when we visited, and the air conditioning didn't keep the room comfortable. Without the heat, though, it could have been possible to get decent sleep. There's no private parking, so you have to find a space outside the hotel.
