The staff were very friendly and helpful, and Franklin gave us good tips for food and nightlife. The hostel’s well situated, near the parliament and old town. There’s room to spread out, and the living room was a nice place to hang out with sociable people. It was clean too. The main downsides were the very thin mattress and the lack of curtains in the rooms. Still, I’d recommend staying here.

I felt comfortable here because the hostel was clean, well organized, and had a friendly atmosphere. Francisco Javier at reception deserves a special mention. He was kind, helpful, and always ready to make guests feel welcome and looked after. His professionalism and positive attitude made a real difference to my stay. The hostel’s overall quality and his service made this a pleasant place to stay. I’d gladly come back and recommend it to anyone looking for a welcoming environment.

Alan, the best receptionist, made us feel at home from our first day. He welcomed us like friends, and his warmth, kindness, and constant smile brought comfort, laughter, and lovely memories to our stay. Even when he was busy, he took time to help us, share recommendations about the city and cultural experiences, and listen to music with us. Those conversations and moments meant a lot. It was clear how dedicated Alan is. With so many guests around, he stayed patient, professional, and genuinely friendly. He goes above and beyond, and it shows how much he cares about his work. We feel lucky to have met him, and his kindness is one reason this trip will stay in our hearts. Thank you for your help, energy, positivity, and friendship. We hope to see you again someday! I arrived to find hair and organic residue on the bed sheets. They clearly hadn’t been changed or washed. The room felt like a serious hygiene failure, and I developed scabies. I’m certain the source was here, and my family has now been infected too. What should have been a trip became a medical and psychological ordeal. In 2026, a property should be able to provide a clean bed. This showed a total lack of respect for public health and caused us immense distress. It’s embarrassing to present yourselves as professionals when basic cleanliness isn’t guaranteed. Stay away if you value your health. In reply to the property: your claim that scabies spreads only through skin-to-skin contact is scientifically false and medically dangerous. WHO and CDC say mites can survive up to 72 hours off a human host, so contaminated bedding, towels, and clothing are recognized ways of transmission, especially where hygiene is neglected. Saying otherwise looks like an attempt to avoid responsibility. Cleanliness is a basic part of hospitality, not an optional service a guest should have to request. Finding hair and organic residue on arrival was evidence that the room hadn’t been cleaned. It wasn’t just a mess. It was a biological hazard, and both my family and I ended up with diagnosed medical conditions. Rather than apologize for this public health failure, you attacked the guest with misinformation. Calling my review false to silence me is pathetic and only reinforces my view that this was unprofessional. Future guests, be warned.

Sleep was impossible here. I’ve been to 80 countries and stayed in hundreds of hotels and hostels, and this was by far the worst place I’ve experienced. I strongly urge people to choose somewhere else. There was no lock on my room door, unlike the others, so it was open 24/7 and I could hear voices all the time. The floor creaked whenever anyone moved, and the bed shook badly when someone shifted, worse and stronger than an earthquake. Other guests ignored the hostel rules. With no reception overnight, people could talk loudly or play the TV at high volume in the sitting hall at 4 am, right in the middle of the rooms. The toilets had no paper at midnight, and there was no water in the morning even to wash my face and hands. There were no towels, the bedsheet was dirty, and they ask for a €10 locker deposit. Don’t worry, people aren’t going to eat your keys. The rooms were extremely hot, stuffy, and smelled of feet, farts, and food. It felt like getting sick was guaranteed. Even though checkout was at noon, housekeepers came in at 9 am to clean noisily and wake people up. The sitting areas were badly laid out, with bar tables and chairs right beside the rooms. Anyone talking on the phone, walking around, or chatting made it impossible to sleep or rest. Sorry, guys, but that was the truth.
