Petit Paris Hostel

Tina in the restaurant was especially helpful at dinner and was very willing to get us whatever we needed. The staff were impeccable and made us feel at home. We had a very pleasant stay, and we'll recommend the hotel and visit again. ❤️

I'm writing about my stay from Jan 30 to Feb 2, and I'm absolutely outraged. I had written confirmation of early check-in between 02:00-03:00, but on arrival the staff behaved unprofessionally and unacceptably. They demanded 64 EUR in cash only at first and explicitly refused card payment. I eventually managed to pay by card, but they still wouldn't give me a legal fiscal invoice, which I believe is a serious violation of Romanian financial laws. The room was unsanitary, especially beneath the beds, and I repeatedly found hair in the breakfast food. Staff were rude and hostile, particularly the breakfast manager. I expect the 64 EUR charge to be fully refunded. I'm escalating this to the Romanian National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC) and asking Booking.com to investigate the property for breaching the service agreement and illegal billing practices. As a traveler from France, I won't overlook this substandard and unlawful treatment.

The staff were really nice, and both the location and price were great. It's a fairly basic hotel, and breakfast was the one letdown. They could definitely improve the quality. Otherwise, I'd recommend it if you need somewhere to stay in Bucharest for a couple of nights.

The staff were polite, and although breakfast choices were limited, the food tasted good. The hotel looked better in the pictures than it did in person. The safe for personal belongings didn't work, and the AC speed button was broken. For that price, I expected more.
