The rooms were cold, and none of the showers had warm water. I was woken at 3:20 by another guest, and the other person in my room lost sleep too. When I tried to shower, the water was ice cold. I told the receptionist, but never got an update. I sat alone in reception until 7:15 after the other guests left at 5, trying the showers again and again. After 7, staff resisted checking the problem, blamed me, and spoke to me like I was a rug for waking them. The water worked for about two minutes, then I was covered in foam and had to rinse off cold. When I kept asking to shower because I had things to do, they got hostile, threatened and insulted me. They asked me to leave and made my reaction to their disrespect the main issue. It was obviously my first and last time there. I’ll make further complaints about the behavior of those two. I don’t wish you another year.

The staff were so friendly and glad to answer questions, and the atmosphere felt welcoming and well organized. My room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and I felt safe. The hostel is close to Bucharest’s center and main attractions. I had a wonderful stay and would happily come back. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Bucharest.

The location is perfect, and I had an amazing experience. The facilities are old and the accommodation feels a little weird, but the price reflects those features.

The location is good, close to the main road. The linen was clean, wifi worked, and the air con was fine after the first night when it didn’t work. But it’s a very dated hostel, and the shower room needs updating. The doors are so thin that noise carries into the room, and I kept getting woken early in the morning.
