The place was a bit messy, with corners that weren’t properly clean. One toilet had no scrubber, and there was only one hand soap by the bathroom sink. That was fine since we had our own shampoos and things. We never got sheets or bedding, so we called the host. He kept insisting he had put sheets on the bed and accusing us of throwing them away or destroying them. Best to bring your own sheets. A returning customer is worth much more than a 40 lei pair of sheets. And if a customer is dressed in a suit, has a car and a gold watch, he will NOT steal or ruin the sheets. The boys had that old Romanian courtesy, focused on blaming people and playing the victim. For example, they didn’t have the PDQ machine, so they asked if I could pay later that night, around 11pm. I agreed. At 11, they told me to leave it until tomorrow, BUT threatened to sue me if I left or failed to pay, even though it was 170 lei. I found that mildly inappropriate, since I was ready to pay at 11pm. I wasn’t the one who put it off until the next day.
