Venis Boutique Hotel

We had a good stay, and the room felt cozy with a modern design. The hotel is close to the center, in what seemed like a safe area. One thing to keep in mind: when everything else was quiet, we could hear the person next door snoring. Maybe they were just a loud snorer, but earplugs could be useful. 😄

The breakfast was just sliced meat, cheese, and yogurt left at room temperature, with a loaf of bread to toast yourself. Back in our room Saturday morning, the bathroom bulb had gone out. We told reception as we left, but the receptionist hadn't asked our room number, so we had to provide it. The light still wasn't fixed when we got back. I was told management and maintenance had been called five times and there was nothing more the receptionist could do. I understood that part, but being left to use the bathroom in the dark wasn't an acceptable solution. There were other problems at Venis Boutique Hotel too. The shower head was broken, and I had to wedge its broken plastic piece into place so it would stay high enough for my partner and me to shower. Using the shower or flushing the toilet brought a sewer smell. The air conditioning didn't work, and the so-called fridge was just a lit box. That's not what I expect from a boutique hotel. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

The room was tidy and pleasant. We booked one night for 1 Aug 2025, and Ms. Veronica Lascu at the front desk kindly arranged an early check-in, so we had more time to explore the city. We're grateful to her and the rest of the hotel staff.

The rooms were nice and clean, and the location was good. I only missed having a kettle in the room. I like to have a cuppa when I wake up, though maybe that's a British thing. Everything else was excellent. I'd definitely stay again and recommend it.
