It was quiet, cozy and had a nostalgic feel, and the host was lovely. We felt right at home. Thanks for having us!

We’d agreed with the owner that we could use a living room for dancing, but we only had access to the kitchen and the dining area beside it. The kitchen seemed kind of dirty to me, and one of the rooms was much smaller than the others even though it cost the same. At night, the rooms were cold. The owner’s wife kept watching us to make sure we didn’t do anything, despite our agreement that they’d only check at the end of the day and that we’d replace or pay for anything broken before leaving.

The bathroom looked a bit dated, but the hot water and water pressure were both good. The floors were so shiny clean that I don’t know how they got them that way. The room itself was beautiful and made me feel like nobility in an old-fashioned Romanian mansion. My husband and I had flight delays, and the host was very helpful and accommodating. Once we arrived, everything was 10/10.

We were really disappointed by the service and staff during our three-day New Year’s stay. Although we’d paid to book the dining area, we had to share it with the owners while they cooked fish, and we weren’t allowed to use the kitchen, even though we’d said by phone when booking that we planned to. They hovered around us the whole time, then asked for more money at the end over a chip and a crack they found in some glasses. The house is beautifully decorated, though the cleanliness and bathrooms weren’t perfect. Those weren’t the main problem. It was a horrible experience, and I don’t recommend it.
