Suru Hotel & Restaurant

Suru is in a great spot, with easy access to the train station and a good starting point for walks into the forest and mountains. The rooms have amazing mountain views. Ours was better than we expected, and the restaurant served great food. The hosts were incredibly warm and helpful, which made for a very pleasant stay.

Everything was spot on, from the room and parking to the terrace, service, value, and responsiveness. Stays like this make me feel like my life is whole.

The waiter was always polite and helpful, and everyone did their best from our arrival through checkout. Our mountain-view room was amazing by day and at night, and it was clean, just as advertised, with daily cleaning. The lady was so nice she even refolded my badly folded T-shirt. The food was tasty too. My only suggestions are about the Tagliatelle Carbonara, which were the second best I’ve had in Buşteni, but the ham and cheese weren’t my favorite, and the pizzas. I wish they used tomato paste as the base instead of offering ketchup, which feels like sacrilege to our Italian ancestry. It was a five-star experience overall, and we’ll most likely return.

We really liked the food, the service, and how clean the hotel was. Reviews are subjective and depend on the person, of course. The hotel is in a beautiful mountain area, but it sits right on the national road. There was road noise all day and night, 24 hours, from cars passing through Busteni to and from Bucharest.
