We were pleasantly surprised by this place. The breakfast was generous and varied, the room was comfortable and well equipped, and the cleanliness was perfect. The pool stayed clean with warm, clear water, and the kind staff could bring a cocktail or food over to you there. We especially appreciated how warmly we were welcomed at reception and how the staff handled conversations during check-in. The owners seem to manage the place very professionally.

The restaurant was the standout for me. I really hope I don't jinx it, but everything I tried, including bites from my wife's plates, was well above average. The spicy, meaty goulash was the best I've had in a long time. The appetizers, fish, and salads were all delicious too. Prices were a little above average, or sometimes just reasonable, but the portions were generous. It's a lovely place to unwind for a few days. The rooms are bright, quiet, clean, and well kept, with comfy beds and soft pillows. The spa is roomy and clean, with staff ready to help. The pool isn't huge, but it's fine for a casual swim. Music throughout the hotel was pleasant and kept at a comfortable volume. I'll definitely visit again!

The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, and the restaurant has beautiful views across the river. They accommodated our dietary needs without any fuss. Easily the best spot in town!

We spent two wonderful days at this SPA Hotel. We've visited plenty of places, but it's rare to find one where everything is so well organized. The River Hotel has thought through even the smallest details, from the furniture to the amenities. The water was comfortably warm. You didn't get cold like at many spa hotels, but it also wasn't so hot that you couldn't stay longer than 10-15 minutes. Breakfast and the restaurant food were excellent and varied. The staff were attentive when needed, yet unobtrusive when you didn't need them. There was parking in front of the hotel, and even though it was extremely busy, there was enough room for everyone at both the pool and restaurant. I highly recommend a visit.

The rooms are spacious and clean, the staff are ready to help, and the restaurant has a modern interior with excellent food and big, tasty portions. You have to try the goulash, it's godlike. The thermal pool is great and has a jacuzzi too. There are two saunas you can use for free, plus a massage room for a fee. If you're visiting Olt Valley, this is the place to stay. I think it's one of the best hotels in the area.
