The main plus in winter is the heat, which is adequate and easy to control. There are two wooden cabins with a gazebo between them, in a special spot just 50 meters from the Icon Slope and 400m from Superski Cavnic. Getting there can be hard in winter or when the ground is muddy. The roughly 300m road is especially tough in a small car. The cabins' interiors, beds, and bathroom fixtures are very dated, uncomfortable, broken, or in need of urgent repairs. There's no wardrobe in the rooms, which is a problem. The TV only works in the living room, where it gets just a few SD channels. The kitchen is well equipped, but its old dishes should be replaced. The bathrooms are clean, though they have a lot of functional problems, including the lights and faulty faucets.

The owner responded quickly whenever I needed something, and the easy drive to the chalet was a plus. It's also close to the Icoana and Roata slopes, so I'd recommend it to families with children. We spent 5 nights there as a family, and the stay was successful. The beds were comfortable, there was enough bedding, and we had plenty of chairs, tables, cutlery, and crockery, all in good condition. Heating and hot water both worked without issues. There are a few things to fix, though. In the chalet on the right, the WLAN is almost unusable, so I couldn't count on it for work. Some storage furniture is broken or missing, and I had to keep my things in backpacks and suitcases. The shower drains very slowly, so you have to use low pressure to avoid a small flood. The bathroom faucets are very noisy.

The host was great, and it's an excellent spot for families with children. I can't wait to go back.
