Vila Vanturis

I’d just arrived and was already leaving IEI. I urgently needed internet for work, and had asked the host twice, the previous evening and again that morning, whether there was a connection. They said they had Digi internet, as listed on turitinfo, and confirmed it again when I arrived. There is internet in the house, but the room they gave us on the ground floor had no signal at all. The hostess confirmed it works upstairs, where the router is in her room. The yard had a weak signal, but not that room. There were four rooms listed on turiști, and none seemed occupied at the time. I needed to work somewhere other than home, so this was very disappointing. When I called the night before, I’d specifically asked about internet. They also seemed a bit pretentious, as if other guests only ask whether the place is clean.

The hosts made us feel very welcome, and having parking in the yard was a real plus. The rooms are simple, though a wardrobe in the room would be useful.

For the price, the accommodation is very good, with impeccable cleanliness and a great welcome. The lady is a 14! I highly recommend it, especially since it’s right on the road to Padina/Ialomițea cave.

Quiet and clean, with the Vanturiș stream running right behind the property. Lovely to have morning coffee out on the pontoon.
