Hotel Caraiman

I spent three nights here in February 2026 and had a very good time. Caraiman is a beautiful old building, renovated inside with modern amenities, good service, and friendly staff. The decorations feel authentic and preserve its character as a building from 1882. The rooms are a good size, with comfortable beds and modern, clean bathrooms. It’s right by Dimitrie Ghica, the largest park in town, and next to the Casino. There are parking spaces of its own as well. Breakfast was extensive, with fresh products. For a 3-star hotel, it’s above many 4-star places in the region. I hope they keep this level or improve it, because I’d gladly spend my money here again. Thank you, Caraiman hotel staff. I fully recommend it and will be back.

A great place to relax, especially in winter when the snow makes it feel magical. The hotel is very nicely located, and the restaurant and rooms look out toward the park. The rooms are warm and clean.

It’s well placed for restaurants, shops, Peles Castle, and the surrounding area. The hotel has been redecorated recently and looks lovely. Our room was clean and comfortable, though very small. Breakfast was tasty, with traditional Romanian dishes alongside more standard continental choices. Most of the guests seemed to be Romanian, and I’m unsure how many international visitors they usually get, especially in November’s off season. When we arrived, the lift was broken, so we carried our luggage to the second floor without anyone offering help. The gym also looked very nice, but was still under construction. The staff were very apologetic about both.

The location gives you an extraordinary view of the park and adds a lot to the charming atmosphere. The restaurant has plenty of choices at reasonable prices for the setting and quality. It’s a lovely place with high standards and thoughtful attention to detail. I highly recommend it.
