The front desk staff could all speak English, and most were very friendly, though one person seemed less so. The room was comfortable and generally clean, but it could have been cleaner. There was a leak in the bathroom that should have been fixed before a guest was put in the room. The location is excellent, right by the bus terminal and a 12-minute walk from the train station.

For a night or two, it was bearable. I can understand that the price might not leave much room for renovations, but the dust on the bathroom drying rack and the other cleanliness problems were the biggest disappointment. The sheets were torn, there were roaches, and the toilet needed a smack before its tank would fill for a flush. On the first floor, the shower leaks whenever someone in one of the three floors above uses the bathroom.

It’s an old building, probably from Romania’s socialist era, so keep your expectations realistic. There’s no elevator, which wasn’t a big deal to me. The train station is about 600 m away. I walked there early in the morning with two suitcases.

The food was bad too, and the bread had MOLD. The man at the front desk also refused to let us leave the hotel after 10 pm, even though it’s supposed to be open 24/7. As for the room, the shower doors were broken, the bathroom door wouldn’t shut, and the closet and bedside lamps were broken as well. The remote didn’t work, and reception refused to give us another one. Absolutely horrible, no words. Do yourself a favour and book somewhere else. Hard skip.
