Really good value for the price. The staff are welcoming, the rooms are quite spacious, and the big living room looks beautiful.

We stayed the night after attending a private party. The view was breathtaking, and the rooms were neat and clean. Breakfast was just right, and the traditional Romanian food was very good. Our hosts were happy to have us and eager to help with anything we needed. The atmosphere was amazing. I recommend the place, they're real professionals!

The rooms were clean and nice, and breakfast was tasty with a good choice of options. I know the Cluj area and nearby villages, so I liked the location. Driving there in your own car works perfectly, but getting into Cluj from there isn't easy.

The breakfast room has a beautiful view, and the floor heating made our room feel comfortable. Harmonia Mundi sits attractively on a hillside above Vlaha, close to Cluj-Napoca. Still, €245 for two nights didn't feel justified. Service and upkeep need work at that price. I only recommend it to travelers who aren't bothered by the problems below or the cost. We asked for an extra bed for our 10-year-old daughter. She could sleep on the fold-out sofa because she's slim, but an adult would be forced against the wooden edge in the middle of it. The main bed also has solid wooden panels rather than a proper slatted base. Luckily, it didn't collapse, though the picture of its support speaks for itself. Some basic repairs had clearly been left for months. The toilet paper holder was nearly falling apart, and the window handle had loose screws that looked ready to drop out. Maintenance doesn't seem to get much attention in Romania, but it's hard to overlook here given the price. There were food moths in our daughter's cereal, with larvae crawling in the jar as well as moths flying around. If you're bringing heavy luggage, expect to carry it up to the entrance. The steep path is slippery enough that bags can slowly slide back down. As we were leaving, we were immediately reminded that payment was due. Parking aside, the sofa and maintenance issues are a problem, but the breakfast view is lovely.
