Hotel Hanul Fullton

The outside area full of plants was lovely, and the room was spotless with a big bathroom and soft towels. It felt like great value, and the receptionist at checkout was nice. We were cold, though, and the heating didn’t help as much as we’d expected. Self check-in also felt less personal and homey.

The room looks onto the building’s inner area, so if you pull the blind down, people walking along the corridors can see inside. That was a small drawback. Otherwise, it was a convenient base in Cluj Napoca, about a 10-minute walk from the central areas and roughly 15 minutes from the railway station.

Breakfast wasn’t very varied, but what was there tasted good, and it seemed fine for a hotel this size. Staff kept a close eye on things and refilled plates right away. There are only about 5-6 parking spaces inside, while outside parking is plentiful but requires a ticket. The hotel isn’t right in the city center, though it’s only a five-minute walk away. For the price, we were pretty satisfied and would come back. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean, functional, and a good size. They weren’t anything special, but we hadn’t expected that. There’s a minibar and air conditioning, plus a few nice stone details.

We slept well because it was quiet and felt safe, even though the hotel is very central in Cluj. Check-in and checkout were quick, and the room had everything we needed, including a safe, hairdryer, and slippers. Great location. I’d recommend it to visitors to Cluj.
