Hotel Meridian

The room was cleaned while I was out each day, the bed was made, and the towels were replaced. Everything was fine, the room was clean, and nothing was missing or broken in the bathroom. Breakfast was okay too. I’d return.

Breakfast was very good, with plenty to choose from and something different each day. My room was large and well laid out, bright, and very quiet. The staff were kind and friendly. This is one of my favorite hotels I’ve stayed in, and Cluj was one of the best cities I visited in 2025. The hotel has a personal, intimate feel on a small scale, rather than the grand palace or corporate chain experience, while still being quite professional. I liked that a lot, and felt it gave me a taste of the city. It’s an easy 10-minute walk to the center through a residential neighborhood, next to the freeway but not on it, despite what one reviewer said.

Breakfast was a highlight, with lots of choices and tasty hot dishes like scrambled eggs, mushrooms, and fried cheese. The hotel is conveniently located, with parking and a 15-20 minute walk to the city centre and good restaurants. Our room was spacious and clean, with modern furniture, quality cosmetics, a kettle, and tea. From arrival, everyone we met was incredibly friendly and helpful, both at reception and over breakfast. We really enjoyed staying at Hotel Meridian and would definitely come back.

A really nice hotel with pretty, clean rooms, sweet staff, and yummy breakfast. The centre isn’t too far, though you do have to walk down a hill.
