The room was small, but clean and comfortable, and pretty good for my two-day stay. There’s a kitchen to use, plus free tea and coffee. Self check-in made it easy to get into the room. The vending machine was the one real problem: it took my money without giving me the product, and it happened all three times I tried. The music outside can also get too loud sometimes, though it didn’t bother me much.

This hostel has some personality. There’s a sauna and a cellar where you can hang out, and they share great information about Romania and the county.

The manager was so kind when I ran into a few problems during my stay, and even lent me tools to fix my motorbike. The place is really clean, the beds are comfortable, and it’s close to the city center and some cute little bars.

The hostel is spotless and pretty central, and Cluj itself is a lovely city worth visiting. Just be aware of the setup: it can feel like sleeping in a bar, and if you shut the window instead, the room gets sauna-hot. The bar right beside it also plays cheap house music at night.

You’re right in the old town, with the tourist spots easy to get to. The service went beyond what I expected, from the morning souvenirs to coffee in the hallway. Rooms were clean and hygienic, and had lockers.
