Hotel Havana

The sheets were clean, and the beach is an easy walk away. The TV worked, and the A/C was a blessing when it was nearly 40 C outside, though you have to ask the front desk separately for the remote. Most of the other things in the room seemed broken, and the refrigerator in both rooms we had wouldn’t get cold, so we drank warm beer on the balcony. Payment is cash only and upfront, so bring enough with you. Parking is free in front of or near the hotel if you can find a spot.

The official star rating is a joke. The hotel and rooms are run down, and they only take cash, no cards at all. The main places to eat are a 30-minute walk or 5 to 10 minutes by car. Staff weren’t particularly helpful, and it was often quite noisy outside until the early hours.

Very poor quality, with uneducated staff. The managers wouldn’t respond when I asked to speak with them. I booked and paid for a room, but none were available. The receptionist spoke to me in a patronizing way. Avoid this hotel.

Awful. Traffic outside means you can’t sleep past 5 am. The bathroom still has old, broken equipment, and the carpet has faded badly and is full of holes.
