We arrived to find our rooms, which we'd reserved in advance, had been given away without any warning. We were left with nowhere to sleep. Terrible service. Management needs changing.

We booked rooms a month ahead, but were told no payment could be made in advance. Then, on the day of our stay, they called to say the rooms weren't available anymore, leaving us with nowhere to sleep. The service was awful, and the lady showed no manners.

A very quiet place with a rustic feel, cozy rooms, hot water whenever you need it and a nice balcony. The owner works hard and is here on her own. Service was good, and breakfast was all natural, homemade food: cheese, milk, jam, eggs, salami, all of it.

It's a great spot for an early start on the transfagarasan before traffic builds up, or as a base for walks in the mountains. The Pensiunea is at the village's edge, a little above it, with lovely mountain views. The hostess is gracious, friendly and helpful, and speaks very good English. There's a large kitchen with plenty of supplies, a comfortable bed, and everything was clean.

We stayed in one of the two attic apartments and found it cozy, very clean, and in an excellent location. Highly recommended, and a big thank you to the lady who owns and runs the place!
