The garden at Casa Gia was full of lovely, fragrant plants, and we didn’t notice any insects. We stayed for four nights and felt comfortable there. The hosts gave us plenty of space, and the bathrooms had towels, toilet paper, and what we needed. The rooms don’t really have air conditioning, but opening both windows worked fine for us. There’s a kitchen guests can use, and the cats left us alone when we ate on the terrace. We had dinner out there twice. For the price and quality, I thought it was a pretty good place to stay. I’ve seen comments about the beach being a distance away, but you can find that out before booking or arriving.

The rooms were tiny and unbearably hot, and the atmosphere felt oppressive. Even flushing twice seemed to earn disapproving looks. It’s at the edge of the village, and I’m definitely not coming back. The place also wasn’t clean.

The rooms were stylish and clean, but they got hot. Getting to the beach takes about 30 minutes. The location might suit cat lovers: there were around six cats beside us while we ate dinner. The older owners tried to come across as decent, but some situations left us uncomfortable. It wasn’t what we expected in a few ways, and we won’t return.
