The beach turned out to be over a 30 minute walk away, nowhere near the 150 meters claimed in the hotel's description. That misleading distance was one of several disappointments. At Vila Del Mar, the staff's treatment of us was the worst part. We'd paid a hefty sum, yet got disrespectful, unscrupulous behavior and inadequate service. They even seemed ready to evict us without a plausible reason. Their conduct made it hard to feel welcome or trust the place. The hotel promised a calm, comfortable escape, but my stay was deeply underwhelming. I can't recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, enjoyable break. I'd look elsewhere for a reputable place that treats its guests properly.

The place was cleaner and the stay nicer than I expected from a 2 star. My one complaint is that the towels and sheets weren't changed.

We liked being far enough from the resort's late music to sleep, while still being close enough to the beach. The rooms were spacious and clean, with a fridge, air conditioning, and window screens so we could enjoy the sea breeze without insects. Our hosts were welcoming and accommodating, and the whole stay was very pleasant. We'll definitely come back!

We're back at Del Mar for our ninth year in a row, in 2025. We’re very happy with the location and service. See you in 2026!
