Oltenia Hotel

The food was really tasty, and dinner had a different theme each night, with cuisine from around the world over the week. The restaurant was spotless every time and child-friendly, with children's high chairs. You could get soft drinks and ice cream from the beach bar or inside the restaurant. The hotel was recently renovated, with attention to detail. Service and cleanliness were impeccable. They also provided large beach towels with a beach bag, slippers, a mini sewing kit, and bathroom products. Our partial sea view room was gorgeous, and you could also see the pool below. Keep in mind it's heated only by the sun, and the area is shaded in the afternoon. I understood they'd opened another pool on the side of the hotel. Getting to the beach means taking stairs. It's not difficult, but there isn't a ramp. The beach was clean, with loungers, umbrellas, good airflow, music at a normal volume, and a relaxing atmosphere. The beach upkeep was the one downside: it left something to be desired. Why call it a private beach if ABAD is looking after it? We saw no maintenance while we were there. The sand isn't fine, and there are lots of sharp shells and boulders where you enter the sea. Water shoes are essential or you risk getting scratched. Nobody collects the algae, which is a shame because the beach is too beautiful to leave as it is. Something needs to be done. Beside Oltenia hotel is Muntenia hotel, which has indoor and outdoor kids' playgrounds, activities with animators, and a separate children's pool with slides. All guests can use these. The Phenicia bazaar is about a five-minute walk away, with shows for children in the evenings. There's no time to be bored. It's a relaxing place with quality service, and I hope they fix the beach problem soon. I'd love to come back!
