A terrible experience. The listing gave the resort's address as Craiova, which has higher prices, and finding the actual place took hours. It's in a village down a dirt road, with packs of stray dogs barking all night. The owner said the Orbitz reservation was wrong and that his rooms were worth €70, but said he could let us have one for $30 a night because he was a nice guy. That was the quoted price we had. The bathroom smelled like sewer, the place was falling apart, and the shower didn't work. The room was extremely small, with nowhere to put luggage. We were told not to get the bedsheets dirty or we'd be charged $200. We weren't allowed to bring food or drinks into the room, even though the website said room service was available 24/7. Never go there!

It seemed like an okay place to stop, quiet and cozy, and the sunset view was amazing. Service was great too. The food was a mixed experience: my spouse's quesadillas were great, but my pork wasn't very good. Food and beer prices are quite high by local standards. I changed my review after finding bed bug bites all over my body :/

The owners were extremely nice and personable, and they do speak English. The rooms were beautiful, the food and service excellent, and the prices amazing. Of all the places I've traveled and stayed, this was my best experience. It's a must-see if you're traveling, and we plan to come back.

The price and photos made the place look promising, but arriving with my six-year-old son turned into a nightmare because the owner was so unwelcoming. I asked to use the free airport shuttle listed in the booking site's description. He first laughed and said it wasn't free. When I showed him the confirmation, which clearly said the service was included, he got angry and started screaming. He shouted that I should be grateful he was letting my son stay, saying, "this is not a place for kids," even though my booking specifically said I was bringing a six-year-old. He eventually demanded that my son and I leave. Misunderstandings about terms and conditions can happen, but screaming at a paying customer, disregarding the booking, and throwing us out are not acceptable. From his replies to negative feedback on other websites, he doesn't seem to take criticism well. I'd recommend staying away.
