Casa Munteanu

A vacation that really recharges you! The hosts were warm and welcoming, and paid attention to the little things. The program was thought out so well, with lovely surprises that showed the area’s traditional beauty. We’d be happy to come back. 🙏🏻👌🏻💕

We came back from three days at Casa Munteanu feeling as if we’d had a reset. The rush of everyday life seemed to fall away, and being surrounded by nature in the Danube Delta brought us back to what matters. Mădălina and Ciprian made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Ciprian took us through the canals by boat, and Mădălina’s cooking was full of the care you get from someone who loves it. We didn’t want that trip to end, and we’d happily return to Casa Munteanu.

Getting to Casa Munteanu in Mila 23 was easy with Pelicanul Expres. The ride was quick and comfortable, and cost 75 lei per person per leg. Once there, we found a new, clean house with spacious, well-kept rooms. The traditional fish meals were fresh, tasty, and local, with huge portions. You can eat at the guesthouse for an extra fee. Ms. Madalina and Mr. Ciprian were welcoming, and can arrange Danube Delta trips if you ask. A comfortable, authentic place to unwind and explore the area.

We’ve returned to Casa Munteanu Mila 23 for a second year, which says a lot. Mădălina and Ciprian make you feel like you’re visiting friends, and they’re lovely people as well as wonderful hosts. The rooms are airy, comfortable, and clean, while the calm, pleasant atmosphere suits the Delta perfectly. And Mădălina’s food is delicious every time, easily a 10+.
