Pensiunea Cherhana

Cherhana Resort was a wonderfully restful place for a few days with our family in the Danube Delta. We went with our 9-year-old, who was made to feel at home by the welcoming, attentive staff. There was plenty of room to play and explore, and the clean, spacious pool area was a favorite. The resort sits in a huge green space, with only a few guests at a time, so it felt peaceful and intimate. The rooms were large, comfortable, and quiet, and had clearly been designed to fit the natural setting without giving up comfort. We especially enjoyed the local food. It was made on-site with fresh, natural ingredients, and every meal was delicious. Fishing is also possible in a calm, beautiful setting, and the resort can help arrange it. A lovely place to unwind and spend time with the people you love. We'll be back!

The hotel management and service left a bad impression. They weren't friendly, and sometimes didn't even say hello. Reception, Anna, wasn't helpful or friendly over WhatsApp or by phone. We were told there would be bicycles, but they were broken, and that we'd have a good nature guide, but there wasn't one. The location itself is beautiful, the rooms are nice, and breakfast and dinner were very good. Restaurant service was friendly.

Traditional fish dishes were fresh, authentic, and delicious, and boat trips through the Delta's canals rounded out the stay nicely. Cherhana Resort has comfortable rooms and an outdoor pool, with a peaceful setting that makes it easy to relax and explore. I'd happily recommend it for a quiet break in nature.

The rooms were clean and pleasant, the staff were friendly, and the restaurant food was very good. The barman from Bangladesh at the pool was especially nice. Prices were reasonable too. There's a swimming pool and pool bar, and they can arrange boat trips. There are good fishing spots and they have fishing gear, but remember to bring bait. Highly recommended.
