The room was kept clean and tidy, and the hotel is in a convenient spot about 20 minutes from the ski resort. It seems like a nice option for families, though a number of comfort and service issues came up during our stay. Our family room was for four, but it initially had only three towels, so we had to ask for another. The windows had no coverings, and the direct sun woke me every morning. The minibar was tiny. The water temperature was also unreliable: the flow was weak, and adjusting it sometimes left us with freezing water. Breakfast didn't offer much choice. When we asked reception for things, the usual replies were “Sorry, we don’t have it” or “Sorry, I don’t know,” which felt odd. We had booked the largest room, a family duplex, but reaching the pool or sauna meant going outside in the cold, which was uncomfortable.

This was my favourite hotel of our organised hiking trip in Romania. We stayed three nights as a large group, and the place felt personal, cozy, and full of character. The food was excellent, we ate there every evening, and the service was brilliant. Thanks for a great stay 🙏

Our family celebration with our daughter ended up being frustrating. We’d paid almost €2,000 for three nights at Hotel Ambient Conacul, with an apartment and an extra room, and brought a cake from a top local bakery. We were flatly told we couldn’t eat it in the dining room. The rule itself wasn’t the issue. A manager came to lecture us, showed no empathy, offered no alternative, and made no effort to help. Rude and rigid, and completely inappropriate for a hotel that presents itself as a premium experience. Very disappointing.

The kids especially loved the outdoor playgrounds and football field, and we all enjoyed the indoor pool. Conacul Ambient feels like a small resort and was a lovely place to relax after exploring Transylvania. The rooms were clean and cozy, and the grounds are beautifully kept, with plenty of green space and mountain views. Quiet, charming, and well set up for families. We'd happily come back.

Everyone at this hotel was so kind, welcoming, and helpful. We loved the room and thought all the facilities were great. The restaurant, where breakfast is served, was amazing too. We ate dinner there twice during our three-night stay because the food was that good. Really recommend it.
