The grounds outside really were a little corner of heaven, as other people have said, but the room problems cut our stay short. We left after six days instead of the planned sixteen. Room 8 was cold from the first day, and it took 24 hours for them to turn on the heat. The bathroom was cold too, with a strong sewer smell and a leak. Then the power went out, leaving us cold again from 11 p.m. until noon the next day. After three days, they moved us to room 9. It was smaller and only a bit less smelly, with barely enough space for one person, though it had been set up for two. The toilet was loose and leaking there too, and of course there was a smell. The staff weren’t very friendly either.

Such a lovely oasis in the Techirghiol resort, with a huge green area that’s kept in exceptional condition. Many thanks to everyone who looks after it. Ten out of ten!

I stayed for 14 days, and wouldn’t recommend this place to families with children. The playground was very well maintained, but the rooms had serious problems: there was only one small wardrobe, the shower stall made washing your feet a real chore, and the sink was set so low you had to watch your head while brushing your teeth. The sewage smelled bad, and there was no soundproofing between rooms or bathrooms. Out of 19 rooms, five of the so-called 3-star ones were being looked after by one person. There were surveillance cameras everywhere like in a prison, and the reception person and assistants were repulsive and arrogant. Linen and towels were changed once a week.

The inner courtyard is a relaxing oasis, and even the old, run-down building adds a bit of an old-fashioned feel to the whole place. Everything else is new, the bathroom spotless, and the staff polite and discreet. Just remember to bring towels, soap, and shampoo.
