Hostel Benida

Just a small motel, and there’s no restaurant or breakfast. It wasn’t quite what I expected.

The service was good, and it’s a nice place.

The food is cooked in their own kitchen, and I’d give the cooking five stars. Prices are what you’d expect at a resort: 5 ron 50 for Cinzano, 10 for an Ursus or Ciuc beer, and 15 for cow soup or the Greek-style one. The restaurant service was mostly very good too. One waitress seemed a bit tired in the evening, but the next afternoon, 03.09.23, the staff member serving was thoroughly professional and deserved five stars. I also appreciated being able to pay with a holiday card. The downside was the church service nearby. It was too loud the previous night, though it was fine the next afternoon.

The food was good, which makes this more disappointing. At dinner, the menu prices didn’t match the receipt: we expected to pay 88 lei, but the bill was 102 lei. Very bad.
