It was okay.

The staff were among the best I’ve come across in a hotel, and there was nothing I could fault. Rooms were clean, well furnished, and had very comfortable beds. There’s a bar by reception and a nice seating spot in the front garden. The hotel is right by the train station, but you can’t hear the trains inside. The beach, Lake Techirghiol, and the city center are all a short walk away. A top rating is well deserved.

The basic facilities and cleanliness fell short. My room wasn’t cleaned until the fourth day, and I found a spider in the closet. There was no disinfected tape over the toilet or sink. The towels that were meant to be clean had stains, and after five days my sheets were changed, but the new sheet had large yellow marks. Nothing there was white. There was no place to dry beach clothes in the bathroom, despite the website saying there was a dryer. Instead, there were just two folding drying racks for the whole floor hallway. One guest kept spreading a towel across a rack instead of hanging it on a line, taking up the whole thing. The bathroom had no shower shelf, so I had to put my shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel on the floor. There was no bath mat, and water ended up on the floor because the shower curtain was shorter than the tub. I had to ask for shower gel and soap, or I wouldn’t have had any. The whole offer was just the bare minimum.
