Hotel Laguna

I've been coming here for four years. The owners are friendly, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the room is nice and spacious. It's got everything I need for a comfortable holiday on the Black Sea coast.

The reception lady welcomes us with a smile every time, and the staff are lovely and kind, which makes the stay even better. We come back every year and plan to return next year too. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and have everything you need, with daily cleaning. There's a well-equipped kitchen for guests who want to cook, plus a barbecue and a roomy terrace surrounded by greenery, where you can enjoy a quiet coffee or a pleasant evening. The hotel is close to the beach and the Techirghiol mud baths. Highly recommend it.

The staff are warm and welcoming, and cleaning is done every day. The rooms and linen are clean, and the kitchen has everything you need. It's lovely to enjoy a coffee or a meal in peace on the green terrace. I'd gladly return and recommend the place.

The smell of damp was overpowering in both the room and bathroom, and I worry it could cause respiratory or other health problems. The antique wooden furniture smelled musty too, so putting clothes in the closet wasn't an option. The old bed had no waterproof mattress cover and smelled of pee and other things. After every shower, water pooled on the bathroom floor because the drain was badly installed. There was no shower curtain, the window was tiny, and there was no fan. Even the soap dish held water, adding to the humidity. The floors were mopped with lots of detergent and not rinsed with clean water afterwards. Breathing in that much detergent could also cause health problems. The location is between two roads, one of them very busy and polluted. There's a circus nearby playing extremely loud music past 10 pm, and our child had trouble sleeping. The host's kindness seemed only for show. When you ask for anything extra, she shows her true viper face. We definitely won't return.
