Legacy Hotel

The room was clean, but there was no air conditioning even though we’d been told there would be. That’s not acceptable. The lobby is still being built, yet they charge the full rate for the alternative arrangement. The hallway to the rooms looks like a crime scene from a ’70s movie, and the windows are tiny. They face a children’s park, so there were screams and cries from kids all day. Not acceptable. At €400 for five nights, I expected at least some hospitality. We’re not animals. The hotel’s only real connection to hospitality is its hospital-like interior. Bye.

The parking situation was almost impossible. We were directed to a paid lot for 35 lei a day, but that was full too, so the suggestion was to park on the street. The receptionist also acted as if we were a nuisance instead of paying guests. I booked a double room through Direct Booking and clearly said it was for two adults and our children, aged 2 and 5. There was no option to request an extra bed, so I expected the hotel to provide a folding cot. Instead, the room had only a 1.6 m bed, which wasn’t enough for four people. Reception offered a folding bed for 40 lei a day, a charge I found unacceptable given the circumstances. The hotel often hosts families, but it only offers these small 1.6 m beds and doesn’t provide extra beds free of charge. Two 2 m beds, or two beds pushed together, would have made a big difference. I stayed just one night of the booking and left. I can’t recommend it, especially to families with children.
