The accommodation was good and spotlessly clean, and I felt for the nuns working to clean up after guests and look after the place. The architecture is lovely, and the monastery-hotel sits near Lake Techirghiol. But older patients and people with health problems complained about the cafeteria food, which is very poor quality despite its fixed price being included in the health center bill. They don't seem to feel able to speak up. I also understood that petty theft is practiced at the treatment center to get good treatment. At reception, nobody answers the phone number listed on the website, and the lady there is often so arrogant toward patients that it feels intimidating. It's a shame, and I hope things improve.

The rooms were cold enough that I stayed wrapped in blankets for all 10 days. After the baths, you have to go outside in the cold to reach your room, which felt even colder than outdoors. The treatment area is cramped, and people are sent one after another for salt and mud baths. I doubt the baths are disinfected between people. The rooms are small and miserable, as are the tiny bathrooms, and nobody came to clean the toilet during my stay. The food was tasteless and very bad. We pay a lot and expect proper conditions, especially since this is a treatment facility. Stop calling it a hotel, it's a monastery, and it's unfair to tourists to stay with nuns. They should make a real hotel for tourists who pay so much. Nobody is happy with the conditions. Think carefully before you go.

I'm here now, and it's a very good place for a quiet stay and treatment. The setting offers excellent conditions to relax. Friendly, professional staff handle reception, accommodation, meals, and treatment procedures. I recommend it warmly and with confidence.
