Timona

It was okay.

Kind of okay.

We’ve just returned from a holiday we planned and booked through Booking. Timona is out on the edge of town, and it was impossible to get a Bolt or Uber because drivers refused to come there. The nearby beach hardly deserves the name. There’s only one hotel there, and unless you’re staying at it, you can’t use a sun lounger. The road to the beach feels like it’s from another era, and the rooms were old and dated. As for cleanliness, we’d washed and then had black feet again within seconds. Paying 2,300 lei for three nights was disastrous. The staff, though, were extremely nice.

From the balcony, you can see the sea, and the location is close to the shore. The rooms are large, spacious, and very clean, while the food is excellent and the service impeccable. The host is wonderful, always thinking of what you might need and doing everything possible to make you feel at home, or even better. There’s nothing to complain about, only praise. We highly recommend it.
