I really don’t recommend staying here. Better to stay on the beach, there are more advantages. It doesn’t deserve any stars. I hadn’t booked ahead, so I was walking the streets looking for somewhere to stay when I met a man promoting this “guesthouse” to potential customers. He said the room was 220 lei a night and had its own bathroom, a plasma TV, AC, was close to the beach, and had private parking. I said I’d pay a maximum of 200 lei a night for two people. He said the owner would accept. When we arrived at the guesthouse, or whatever that shack was, the owner didn’t even greet us. She was cold and contemptuous because we didn’t want to pay 220 lei, but 200. We went along with it anyway. She put us in a room in the attic, literally. At first we thought it was okay since we’re not picky about accommodation, but I really don’t know who could accept what was there and pay so much. After a while, we decided to ask for our money back and leave because we didn’t like it. My friend asked the owner for the refund. After a lot of insisting, she said she’d return it, but keep 30 lei to pay the man who recommended the “villa”. I refused, and she eventually gave us all the money back. Then she came in, pushed me out of the room, and threw my luggage into the hallway. Terrible experience!
