Vila Granada

The owner was kind, communicated openly about the stay, and let us check in flexibly. The yard was large, tidy and full of flowers and plants, with a big barbecue and utensils plus plenty of tables, chairs and benches. It was quiet and felt comfortable. The room and bathroom, though, were poorly cleaned, as was the kitchen. I found four large spiders in the room, on the walls and ceiling, and more in the small downstairs bathroom. Its shower cabin was cracked and broken, and the bathroom was rusty. I also found cockroaches under the toilet seat when I moved it by accident. Water pressure was extremely low, so showering took a long time and was uncomfortable. Bathing the children was a struggle. There was no air conditioning, just fans that couldn’t keep up. We also had to take the bins out to the gate for the last two days. It was okay overall, but I don’t recommend it and won’t return. It feels like they’ve put in the minimum and want the maximum profit.

What you’re told about the facilities on the phone after paying the deposit doesn’t match what you find when you arrive. They’ve apparently made a lot of improvements, but quite a few of the promised things weren’t there. The fans they provide instead of air conditioning barely help, the water comes out like a dropper, and the pillows and sheets were stained and covered in hair. I don’t recommend staying here.

The garden is as lovely as it looks in the pictures, and the villa is beautiful. The BBQ set had all the equipment we needed, and the hosts replied quickly whenever we had questions or a problem. We’ll come back.

A peaceful courtyard full of flowers, pretty rooms, and the beach isn’t too far away. I recommend it.
