Nice spot, close to the sea.
There were some good points at Vila Evelyn in Eforie Nord: the location was good, sun loungers were included in the room price, and the room service was acceptable. Towels were changed daily and toilet paper was provided. Still, our stay fell short of what we expected, and I wouldn't recommend it. The yard was untidy, though it could have had useful parking spaces, and the administrator assigns rooms based only on arrival order. The secondary bedroom had no wardrobe or other storage, which was inconvenient for a family. There was also no air conditioning, despite what the administrator's apartment description on the property website said. The ornamental windows couldn't be opened, so ventilation wasn't possible. That was especially unpleasant with the persistent sewage smell in the bathroom. The air freshener spray I bought didn't cover it. The windows were visibly dirty, and an old, torn carpet made the room look neglected. The place has potential, but it clearly lacks attention to detail and guest comfort.
I won't be coming back. It's not worth the money, and the villa feels like it's out in the desert. A huge, dry fir tree hangs over the balcony and could fall onto it. Personally, I didn't like the place.
The room was clean, communication was fine, and everything else was nice. The Wi-Fi was the exception: at least on the 3rd floor it barely worked, just flickering. But hey, we all have phones and mobile data, so that's the least of the problems.
I was satisfied with the quality for the price. The villa sits right in the resort center, just a couple of steps from Carrefour and other shops, and it was quiet at night during my stay. There was no elevator. Free beach sun loungers were included for the whole stay, and the fresh ones were changed every 3 days, although that wasn't posted anywhere. The room was large, with a comfortable bed for two. It had a big balcony with a small table, two chairs, and a clothesline with a few hooks. The bathroom had a bathtub, but the toilet space between the tub and wall was very tight. I don't know if someone more corpulent would fit. The plastic entrance door was another drawback, as was a small square opening high in the wall between the bathroom and hallway, which let through all the hallway noise. Still, it was generally quiet, with no noisy tourists while I was there.
