Fine.

Good.

It’s cheap at 100 lei a night, but the quality leaves a lot to be desired. Each apartment has its own central heating, so hot water and heat weren’t a problem. There’s also a stove, handy for morning coffee, and even a washing machine. Cleanliness was a serious issue. There were dust clumps under the bed, suggesting the vacuum hadn’t been used for a long time, and the TV and bathroom radiator were visibly dusty. The dishes were dirty, the shower tiles didn’t look as if they’d ever been wiped, and there was mold in the shower. The toilet cistern was broken, and the mattress was awful, with the springs easy to feel. The sheets definitely hadn’t been changed. Guests who checked out before us had their sheets spread on the balcony to air out, which is unacceptable. I could go on listing problems, but that gives a pretty clear picture.

The parking lot felt more like a car market, with all kinds of suspicious people walking around to look at the cars for sale. Check-in was a total disappointment too. We had to wait for someone to open the door, and when they finally did, they had no idea which room we’d booked.
