The restaurant is a lovely place to sit, and the decor and atmosphere were good. I skipped the meat dishes; the soup and the lukewarm beans and pickles were pretty good. The sweet lady and I worked our way through the language barrier to order. My bill should have been 31.5 lei, but she charged me 40. I would’ve tipped and left a good review, so being overcharged after an otherwise nice interaction felt awful. I didn’t go back for breakfast. If I wanted to feel like a walking wallet, I’d go to Morocco. The hotel room itself was nice and a bit romantic, with a comfortable bed, an extra blanket, and a window I liked. Sheets, towels, soap, shower, and heating were all wonderful. But room 5 had no wifi at all, despite it being advertised, and I needed it. A tap erupted because of a plumbing problem, so I had to turn off the mains. The guys came to inspect it while I was on an important call using mobile data, and kept knocking without stopping. When they came back, they were quite nice, to be fair. There was no tap, but I was fine using shower water. No kettle, which was really inconvenient, and it seemed like they wanted guests to use the restaurant. Communication was poor. Nobody was there for check-in, and on Booking they only tried to sell me the restaurant instead of giving useful check-in or transport details. I walked 30 minutes from the train station with my bags, though I could probably have taken a bus, maybe bus 2. The routes aren’t on Google Maps.
