Hotel Polaris

The service was fantastic, and the atmosphere felt romantic. It was quiet, clean and luxurious, with great prices. Probably one of the best hotels in Romania.

For the prices, I don't think its current rating of over four stars is deserved. The bathroom needs major renovation, the shower cubicle is small, the carpet looks dirty, and the sheets were worn. I couldn't plug in the fridge and air conditioning at the same time because the cable didn't reach. This room had air conditioning, though I understand the attic rooms don't. Worst of all, kitchen exhaust seemed to get into my room, leaving a fast food smell. It wasn't terrible, but it was far from great and not worth the price.

The one good thing was the friendly staff. Otherwise, I strongly recommend avoiding this place. There was no hot water all day unless you asked reception, then you had to wait 30-60 minutes before showering. You also had to ask for a hairdryer. There was no phone in the room to call reception, and calling from a mobile didn't work either. The blanket had holes, the view faced a park and cemetery, and they hadn't left even one bottle of drinking water. The nearest shop was a 20-minute walk away. No toothpaste, and the toilet paper was terrible. I knew it was rated three stars, but it didn't even feel like one.

There's no presidential suite or black caviar, but the staff were always ready to help and showed me that kindness still exists. I'm so grateful to them. ❤️❤️❤️ Best hotel in the world!
