Motel Prislop

The papanasi were exceptional, and the white house wine was lovely. The beef soup, Ciorba de vaca, and traditional tochitura were only average, though. Compared with our previous visits, I was a little disappointed: prices have gone up and breakfast is no longer included. We moved from an attic room to one on the first floor, but it was noisy.

After the long trip to visit Prislop Monastery, we booked a room at this motel and found everything perfect. The food was lovely, the view unbelievable, and we’re grateful for the help from the young woman at reception.

The generous breakfast and the very kind lady Ionita at the front desk made our stay especially nice. It’s a new, spotless motel with a bar and smoking patio, surrounded by green fields. So peaceful, you’ll want to stay. A+++++ location.

The owner seems to have invested a lot in the property, and the receptionist was pleasant with us. But we didn't like how she spoke to a Romanian-speaking woman; she was quite nasty to her. In an attic room on the upper floor, southeast side, the bathroom had a terrible sewage smell despite being very clean. It seemed to be because the plumber hadn't installed a p-trap.
