A clean, pleasant house. I’d have given it full marks if there’d been a little balcony.

The hosts were so welcoming and made sure we had what we needed. The guesthouse itself is well-kept and spotless, in a wonderfully quiet spot. At night, the sky is incredible, with the Milky Way easy to see. We explored Transalpina, the Olt Valley and the Jiu Valley, and visited several lovely monasteries nearby: Hurezi, Lainici, Polovragi, Govora and Frasinei. We also went to Muierii cave and Polovragi. It felt like a dream holiday, and we hope to return soon.
