Ciric Hotel

We had lunch there. The staff were attentive and good, but there are no facilities for disabled people. The lake is 5m away, with little kiosks on pontoons, and I can see why people choose it for weddings. It looked gloomy in winter, though it must be charming and romantic once everything starts blooming in summer.

After a disappointing trip around the country, the time we spent at the hotel left me smiling. The staff were polite and professional, and the place looked good, with amazing views and surroundings. I wish we could have stayed longer.

The breakfast was plain and nothing special, and our shower barely worked. The rooms are large and there's plenty of space, but the place needs some upgrades and general maintenance. With a full renovation, it could be fantastic.

The place was really, really bad. In the first room, the toilet didn't work. In the second, spiders were hanging from the bathroom ceiling, and the shower was filthy. I had booked breakfast too, and was disappointed by that as well. There was hardly anything to choose from. The same eggs and mushrooms seemed to have been served for 2-3 days. We had to take our own room garbage out, and no towels were changed. Luckily, we'd brought our own from home. We thought we'd have dinner on the terrace and enjoy the view, but there were thousands of mosquitoes and no repellent. Food was hit or miss. If you were lucky, you might get something good; otherwise, you could end up with old potatoes instead of fries, or old meat left over from another guest's barbecue, with the kitchen using whatever remained. The price is way too high for what they offer, close to what you'd pay at a 4-star hotel for a place that shouldn't be rated above 2 stars. There was also chocolate in the minibar that had expired in 2017, when I wrote this in 2018. Don't waste your time and money here. There are plenty of better places. I hope this helps anyone thinking of coming.
