Lavric Bistro Pension

Breakfast was pretty good, and the location near downtown is the one real plus. Still, the price was way too high for the conditions. We rented two rooms for one night. The double-bed room was just okay, but its comforter was disgusting. The room with three single beds was a disaster: the mattresses were the worst we slept on during our trip through Romania, with springs visible through the sheets. Its bathroom was old, broken, smelly, and dirty, though the sheets and towels in that room were clean. In the morning there was nobody available to tell about the problems. I don't recommend it and won't return.

The menu has plenty of Italian options, from pizza and pasta to salads and grilled food, and it was quite tasty. The chef is Italian. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a view of the Cathedral, and the staff were friendly.

Room number 1 was loud because of the restaurant. The bed was incredibly noisy too, waking me up whenever I turned over in my sleep. They really need to take better care of the furniture.

I went there a few years ago. I saw a comment saying the Italian restaurant has an Italian chef, but they make carbonara with pene. Why?!
