Ivola Vendégház

I've been to the Ivola guesthouse for more than one weekend on my own. The nearby Via Ferrata is my favorite, and Transylvanian sights and hiking routes are within reach. It's the kind of place where you can have coffee in the morning with only birdsong and the mountain stream in the background while grilling. Highly recommended.

We've come back for many weekends with friends. The guesthouse sits on a spacious, well-kept property beside a flowing stream, and there's every comfort here. The setting is wonderful, and once you've visited, you'll want to return.

Time seems to pass much faster here than it does at home, which was our one big problem! The hosts are happy to help with any little issues during a holiday, and there's a good restaurant nearby, so you can leave the dreaded question of what to cook today at home. That leaves time for walks, hikes, and looking after each other. I wholeheartedly recommend Ivola guesthouse, set in pleasant surroundings at the foot of the Harghita Mountains in Madarasi, a comfortable distance from the asphalt road beside a babbling brook.
