We were told two days before check-in that one of our reserved rooms was no longer available, so they couldn't honor the booking. Bucharest was packed for the Metallica concert at the time, with almost no rooms left and the prices that were available were exaggerated. What bothered me most was how little interest the property showed in sorting this out. They suggested cancelling and getting a refund instead of taking responsibility for a confirmed reservation. A really unpleasant experience, and it felt like they took the booking very unseriously.

The location was great, by the water and close to the center, and bringing our dog was no problem. We drove in after 7 pm and luckily found a space right in front of the apartment. Getting the keys from a code box meant there was no check-in, which was great. It was on the second floor, and for reasons I don't understand the windows faced walls, but that was okay for a city stay. The bed was comfortable, everything was clean and smelled nice, and the place was tidy. The bathroom was nicely set up, even with toothbrushes packed for us. There was a kitchen, microwave, kettle, and some sort of Nescafé drink.

The apartment itself and its location were okay, but getting in was a mess. Check-in was meant to be at 3 pm, and after several calls and Booking.com messages went unanswered, we finally got the instructions at 5 pm, as if nothing had happened. We also had no hot water and asked them to sort it out, but still haven't heard back. The cockroach isn't something they can be held responsible for.

The apartment was okay, but there was a lot of hair on the bedding. I also had no hot water and tried reaching Elisa several times by email, phone, WhatsApp, and Booking.com, but never got a reply. She doesn't seem to care about the guests. The noise isn't something she can be held responsible for.
