Hotel Denis

We really liked the pool and the outdoor space for kids was excellent. The staff were friendly and great, and we enjoyed a very good dinner. Breakfast came with the room price too. It’s a lovely place to come and unwind, and I really appreciate what they did for us. I recommend it!

The restaurant is nice and the staff speak English and are friendly. The hotel is large, with big rooms and an outdoor pool, but our room was in poor condition despite having portable air conditioning. There were several small problems, including a broken shower door handle. The nearby railway was disruptive at night.

Our stay at Dennis hotel was awful. We’d booked two double rooms for one night, but both were unclean. One had just one towel and hair clogging the shower drain. In the other, there was used shower gel and more hair in the shower, and we couldn’t get hot water. When we raised it at the bar, staff said they’d handle it. Someone brought three extra towels for the first room, and the waitress said we needed to wait longer for hot water. We waited ten minutes. There was no one at reception when we arrived, so we checked in at the bar. One waitress couldn’t speak English at all, while the other either barely spoke it or didn’t want to say a full sentence. We also couldn’t get the supposedly free Wi-Fi in our rooms. Breakfast the next morning had very little choice. A cleaner came by the table with a broom in one hand and picked up and ate a hot dog with the other.

The beds could’ve been more comfortable, and they creaked whenever we moved. Still, we found the prices reasonable, the place great for kids, and the staff excellent. They even made sandwiches for us to take along and let us stay at the pool as long as we liked. The food was great.
