Hotel Dacia

I like staying here when I’m in Lugoj. The rooms and sheets are clean, and breakfast is fine for the price. The place has a distinctive, nostalgic feel.

The bed was uncomfortable enough that I didn’t get a decent night’s sleep. The twin room itself was huge, with plenty of space, and the bathroom was in good order. Towels were a bit worn but clean. There weren’t any dispensers for shower gel or hand wash. The hotel has an old-fashioned look and is fairly well kept, with ornate plasterwork and decorations in both the hallways and room. It’s in the town centre, about a 10-minute walk from the train station, shops, and restaurants. Breakfast wasn’t included in my booking, and I had to skip it because it doesn’t start until 8:00 at weekends.

The restaurant is nice, and although the menu doesn’t offer many dishes, the ones they do have are amazing. Service was very good too. The hotel is in an old building with high ceilings and lovely wooden doors, and the rooms are large and very clean. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in.

Staff were friendly and very helpful, and they speak English quite well. We could park on the street outside, and breakfast was offered for about 25 lei. The room had a fridge and AC. It was very spacious and clean, with a huge, spotless bathroom, towels, and toiletries. We didn’t get much warm water. It was summer, so cold water was enough, but I don’t know whether they have the same issue in winter. I’d recommend this hotel.
